Oh how I love papaya!

I made another green smoothie today. I'm becoming obsessed, so it's good I'm obsessed with something healthy! You can use whatever greens you wish in this smoothie as with all green smoothies. I had kale on hand so in the mixer it went.

A couple things on papaya: this fruit is known for its enzymes that aid in digestion. Some research indicates it might also help stop premature aging. It is packed full of vitamin C and carotene. When combined with pineapple, the fruits become therapeutic because pineapple contains another enzyme, bromelain. For male health, papaya contains arginine. And for overall health, it contains carpain and fibrin.

1 banana
1 cup cubed papaya
2 handfuls kale
1 cup water
Stevia or desired sweetener to taste

Put the fruit & water in first, blend, then add the greens. Add sweetener last. Drink up ^_^

I know it's been awhile...

...but I have been very busy! I have a lot of things to post I've been whipping up but for now let's start with a green smoothie! I just started drinking these a couple weeks ago and they are amazing! Don't be discouraged by the green color-they taste like the fruit! You get fruit and veggies in one drink and the veggies are already broken down so they are easier to digest and absorb nutrients from. You should still eat veggies and salad but this is great for breakfast or a snack.

Recipe:
1 handful kale
1/2 handful parsley
1 banana (sliced)
1 cup pineapple
1&1/2 cups water (or desired amount for consistency)

Put the fruit and water in first and blend, then add the greens. If you have an older blender or a difficult one, you should chop the veggies up before adding them to ensure they get broken down.

Enjoy!! ^_^
